Payout Policy

This policy applies when you sell tickets through FollowTo checkout (Razorpay for INR, PayU for USD). It does not apply to free RSVP events, external payment links in your event description, or attendees you mark as paid manually in your dashboard.

Payment partner

Ticket payments on FollowTo are processed by Razorpay for INR tickets and PayU for USD tickets. Community plan subscriptions are billed via PayU. FollowTo is not the Merchant of Record for ticket sales.

What the buyer pays

Buyers pay the ticket price shown on your event page. FollowTo does not add a separate service fee at checkout.

FollowTo service fee (deducted from your payout)

For each ticket sold through FollowTo checkout, FollowTo deducts an all-in service fee from your payout. The same fee applies on all community plans (Free, Pro, Enterprise):

• INR tickets: 5% of the ticket price plus ₹5 per ticket
• USD tickets: 5% of the ticket price plus $0.30 per ticket

This fee covers payment processing and FollowTo platform services. Fixed fees differ by currency because processing costs differ; they are not currency conversions of the same amount.

Examples: a ₹500 ticket: fee ₹30 (5% + ₹5), you receive ₹470. A $20 ticket: fee $1.30 (5% + $0.30), you receive $18.70.

Minimum ticket prices

Paid tickets using FollowTo checkout must be at least ₹99 (INR) or $5.00 (USD) so fees and payouts remain viable on small transactions.

Estimated payout in your dashboard

Your event Ticket sales report shows gross sales, the FollowTo service fee, and your estimated net payout. That estimate does not include separate bank or payment partner fees charged when transferring funds to your bank account; those may reduce the final deposit.

Settlement timing (T+3)

FollowTo initiates organizer payouts on T+3 business days after both of the following:

• The ticket payment is marked paid in FollowTo checkout
• Your event has ended (based on the latest scheduled end time)

We use the later of those two dates before counting T+3 business days (Monday through Friday). Payment partners (Razorpay for INR, PayU for USD) settle gross ticket revenue to FollowTo; FollowTo deducts the service fee and remits your net payout per this policy. The time for funds to appear in your bank depends on the payment partner and your bank.

Refunds and chargebacks

Refund terms for paid event tickets follow the organizer's policy unless stated on the event page. See our Refund Policy for subscription billing. Refunded or charged-back tickets are excluded from payout totals.

Taxes

GST may apply on transactions in India. International buyers may see currency conversion at checkout. Organizers are responsible for applicable taxes on their ticket revenue where required by law.
